Hangover cures Korea style, and forget about the clapper

Today was crazy action packed, and I am desperate for sleep. I have to say though, I love my job. It was so awesome to see firsthand the mobile applications I am well aware of but which just don't fully hit you until you see them in action on a handset. What we saw at the SKT showroom spanned a spectrum from advanced multimedia apps on one end: live TV on your phone, satellite broadcasting, and video telephony to the absolutely inane: a diet tool that kills your appetite by playing some stupid little song, mosquito-off (turn on a really annoying high pitched squeal to repel the suckers), and my personal favorite - the hangover solution: sounds of birds chirping that are going to cure that pounding headache from too much soju. Huh? Oh and let's not forget the pet care app - watch Fido from your phone via the camera embedded in the food dispenser you activate from your handset when you're on vacation. And forget about ATM and credit cards, your cell phone will soon be your wallet too.
We also experienced the truly connected home, and it's not just an integration of your entertainment. Here lights, curtains, AC, TV, microwave, washer/dryer, the oxygen levels in your home, you name it - you can control it from your mobile phone, your wall pad, your remote control, your TV, or your PDA. Wake up in the morning and, that's right, test your blood pressure, body fat percentage, even analyze your urine and store it all in a central database. Makes even Judy Jetson look so retro.
